The Importance of Dental Care

Dental care for pets is just as important as it is in humans! Dental disease affects approximately 85% of cats and dogs over one year of age, according to the Veterinary Dental Society.

Foul breath, inflamed or swollen gums, drooling, difficulty chewing, loss of appetite, weight loss, and/or reduced activity are all signs that your pet is suffering from the pain of dental disease. Left untreated, harmful bacteria from the oral cavity can spread throughout the bloodstream to infect the heart, lungs, liver and kidney – impacting the health, happiness and lifespan of your pet.

Complimentary Dental Exams
January and February are our Dental Months, during which we are once again offering free dental exams for your dogs and cats! Our technicians will examine the oral cavity, give you a dental report card, discuss techniques for home dental care, and send you home with a dental goody bag that includes a dental chew and a bag of dental food. Give us a call at 519-759-3031 to schedule your pet’s free dental assessment today!

Dental Contest – We Want To See Your Pets’ Smiles!
Send us a picture of your cat or dog ‘smiling’ via e-mail or Facebook messenger by February 28th, 2018, and you’ll be entered in a contest to win a gift basket filled with dental food, chews, toys, and much more! Any pose where we can see some teeth (or where teeth would be if they hadn’t fallen out or been extracted!) will be eligible! Good luck!
